CADE Estate Winery, located on Howell Mountain, is where tradition and innovation converge to manifest the compelling narrative of our land, a symphony of natural beauty and architectural innovation where the soul of the mountain infuses itself into every bottle.
Perched at an elevation of 1,800 feet above sea level, our 54-acre Estate experiences a unique temperature inversion. During the day, conditions are much cooler than those on the valley floor; evenings, on the other hand, grow warmer with the setting sun. This microclimate gives our grapes extended hang time, allowing them to ripen fully and evenly for wines of exceptional density and balance.
CADE wines articulate our Estate's intense, powerful character while maintaining a balance of fruit, acidity, and oak carried over a voluptuous mouthfeel. In contrast to the rustic, tannic Cabernet Sauvignon sometimes associated with Howell Mountain, we like to call the nuanced, artisanal expression of our wines “Modern Howell Mountain.” We also craft an Estate Sauvignon Blanc with an intriguing combination of stainless steel, oak, and cement egg fermentation, as well as a crisp, vibrant Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.
